Conducts multidisciplinary research related to malware analysis and other cyber solutions. This position requires the ability to apply reverse engineering skills to solve complex problems and generate practical solutions. Position requires extensive technical expertise in a wide range of software development using various languages and various platforms. Applications range from user interface creation to kernel development for communications and networked systems. Qualifications includes an in-depth understanding of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems, detailed knowledge of various network protocols, multi-threaded applications, algorithm development, and graphical user interfaces. Candidate will provide technical leadership and guide the successful completion of all phases of software development projects from proposal to delivery. Must apply advanced technical principles, theories and concepts and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Position requires a high level security clearance. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
